Here are some reflective questions for you to consider for this section. Check in with the Teaching and Learning team (teachlearn@yukonu.ca) if you would like to talk about them with someone, or build an action plan for bringing them into your synchronous online sessions.

  • Think about any successful synchronous online sessions that you have been a part of. Consider how the design of the session impacted you and think about specific design strategies that were used that you found effective.
  • Read/view the resources on the Design Ideas page in this section's notes. What sparked your interest? What do you have questions about? Which ones could you see yourself doing?
  • How do you prepare to teach/facilitate your face-to-face or asychronous online courses? What preparation strategies do you use that could also serve you well in preparing to facilitate synchronously online?
